We are in a developing environmental crisis which will make COVID-19 appear almost benign. We know what needs doing. But until the root causes are addressed, everything else is like putting band-aids on bullet wounds. The solutions are clear. The use of fossil fuel and plastic for disposable items such as packaging must end. Alternatives do exist. Education and massive social behaviour change are the only real solutions.
