Join Vega on her yearly mission to deliver donated educational and medical supplies to remote communities in eastern Indonesia and East Timor.
Project reviews by year
Vega’s projects are based on one idea. Help people solve problems by themselves. As a result, midwives, health workers and teachers receive needed tools, supplies and training. But, we go further by supporting trash management and help adapting to climate change.
When COVID-19 struck, Pulau Medang turned to the Historic Vessel Vega for help. Together with our FaceBook friends, we organized cash donations for personal protective equipment, infrared thermometers and other important materials. Thanks to a concerted community effort COVID-19 has not made it to the island. This film was produced by Pak Fadli on Pulau Medang.
Follow the adventures of a 120-year-old Norwegian built Historic sailing vessel. Visit volcanic islands where no one ever goes. A life or death struggle isolated and alone in the middle of the ocean. Vega delivers donated educational and medical supplies to some of the worlds most isolated island communities.

Thanks to your help we managed about 3,800 miles from the time we left Jakarta loaded with roughly 20 tons of supplies until we returned back there.
Here is a very short round up of highlights from this years deliveries of donated educational and medical supplies.
