Like I said in a recent post we are now out making deliveries of donated educational and medical supplies to some of the remote islands we assist. After all the COVID mess it feels as if we are starting all over again. This little film is from our recent voyage from Batam to the Anambas Islands. Hope you enjoy it. There will be more in the next few days – if the signal lasts – as we begin making those deliveries.

Music: Red Sails In The Sunset · Nat King Cole.
Video: Fadly · Pulau Medang.
Dead eyes and lanyards are still entirely practical today. We use them on Historic Vessel Vega because they are resilient, easy on the spars and rigging, and their elasticity is quite noticeable. They give under sudden strains and bad weather, and in times of stress (God forbid!) are quickly cut away.
We have been quite busy these past weeks getting Vega ready to restart her deliveries this year.
Asia-Pacific Boating – find out more about historic vessel Vega’s annual humanitarian missions – and help with their work
The work of Vega 1892 is based on a simple philosophy. When people are healthy and well educated they have a much better chance of solving problems by themselves
Thanks to supporters of Historic Vessel Vega two remote health posts will soon be able to cold store vaccines and other important medications in these rugged solar powered portable cold boxes.
