Solar power for Anambas islands

Just before COVID hit the wonderful people at Mandala Trust fund sponsored solar power systems for health posts on two of the islands we assist. Thanks to COVID, have had it here onboard for ages, waiting to be delivered. Since we cannot make our usual route this year – due to being so late on the monsoon, and a vicious La Nina event – we decided to deliver those installations to alternate island villages where they are also badly needed.

Each panel was tested for open circuit voltage and amperage. Being new when we bought them, and carefully stored, they were all still in good shape.

Here is the first batch on their way. Special thanks to the Anambas Island's Scouts for their help in getting them to their new home. A local techie will install them and we have been promised pictures to share with you.
