Students from the German European School Singapore (GESS) visit Historic Vessel Vega
Students from the German European School Singapore (GESS) visit Historic Vessel Vega. GESS supports our Kits-4-Kids school bag program since 2012.
Our Kits-4-Kids program began in 2011 in cooperation with the Headmaster of the German European School in Singapore. The concept is simple. Students and their parents prepare schoolbags with the essentials students from a disadvantaged area need and donate them to Vega. We stow the bags on board and deliver them along our yearly route.
Since the project began, we have delivered around 5000 Kits-4-Kids bags to underprivileged children in East Timor and Indonesia. This was made possible by teachers, parents, and students from the Australian International School, Singapore, the German European School, Singapore, and the Jakarta Intercultural School.
You can read more about some of these deliveries in the articles below, and if you would like to participate, please contact us.
