Reading glasses for the elderly in Triloka

Triloka Clinic is situated in Baucau District. Together with their staff, we managed to distribute way over a hundred pairs of reading glasses. After short training nurses, Akesa and Ima were ready to fit glasses for people from surrounding villages.

On Monday the waiting room was full after the Sunday church announcement for the distribution of reading glasses at the Triloka klinic.

The first day over 80 people got their eye sight tested and most where sortsighted.

The clinic keeps records about every person who recieved the glasses for future follow ups.

He is already in his eightys, and eventually suffers from cataracts. Julietta invited him and the family to come to the clinic for further tests.

We encounter a lot of problems with the very old. Many people in their 70's or 80's got cataracts, glaucomas etc. And we feel very sad that we can not help. Would be nice to find a eye specialist who wants to join Vega.
