Jotun Paint and Historic Vessel Vega
a winning team

For well over a decade Jotun Paint has staunchly supported the historic vessel Vega and our humanitarian missions. It is no exaggeration to say without Jotun our work would not be possible. Every year Jotun Indonesia provides the best, top quality marine paint available, to help us keep Vega in good condition.

Over the years support from Jotun has gone much further than caring for Vega. Together we have improved thousands of lives on remote islands in Eastern Indonesia and East Timor. Jotun Indonesia provided valuable easy to understand reference books in Bahasa for rural midwives and copies of Where There Is No Doctor, also in Bahasa, for remote health workers.  Jotun Indonesia also helped us purchase medical supplies for small health posts.  Jotun Singapore donated laptop computers and printers for schools. They also made it possible for us to purchase a long list of equipment for midwives and school supplies. Jotun Thailand and Malaysia have also played important roles in helping others through Vega. Little wonder we proudly fly their banners at every opportunity.

But, most important to us are the friends we made at Jotun. Friends we have grown to cherish over the years. Antony, the Jotun representative in Bantam, whose big heart convinced the head office to sponsor underprivileged children learning to sail. Or Hendra who always finds the time for a visit and more than one enjoyable diner with his crew. Janet in Singapore whose inventiveness moved more than one mountain. Ulf with his creative ideas and Bjorn who helped us track down Vega’s Norwegian history. I could fill the page with the names of wonderful people at Jotun who care about helping others.
