Historic Vessel Vega books destroyed
- On the 8th of February, 2019, PSS shipyard dropped historic vessel Vega twice completely flooding her. The boat and all her contents were severely damaged.
- Not counting our extensive private reading collection, 450 newly printed copies of Windsong and The Vega Adventures were severely damaged by a mixture of muddy river water and diesel fuel.
- New books were boxed well enough to keep humidity out but not enough for diving.
- PSS shipyard left all our books out to rot on old fishing boat.
- We collected all the books and laid them out for drying.
- They were damaged but we could have used them for a charity sale, raising money to print more.
- PSS shipyard stuff counting the books and locking them in a container. They never paid us for the damage nor did they return the books.
Vega-1892 books and other articles are one of the ways we support our yearly mission. When you buy one, you get a jolly good read or a stunning image and help the remote communities Historic Vessel Vega assists. As an example, buying one book provides enough antibiotics to treat three people.
