Once again Vega was invited to participate in the Singapore Yacht Show, a major event for boating in South East Asia. For 4 days we ran ourselves ragged showing Vega and explaining our mission. We sold books, coffee, and T-shirts to help raise funds for this years deliveries. It was a great chance to see old friends and meet new ones.

Here you have the Historic Vessel Vega in all her glory with almost every sail we own out and drawing. Our good friend Fadily followed us on his uncles small fishing boat to make this video then edited it on his laptop. Hats off to the lad for a job well done.
You will love this little film about our deliveries of educational and medical supplies to the small island of Medang in Indonesia. We have been assisting this island for almost 10 years and the improvements are noticeable.
A very special thanks to Leo Nagtegaal founder of Moduspec and ModuResources for his continued support of Vega and her yearly Missions of Mercy.
Historic Vessel Vega played host to over 100 budding photographers who took part in a photo competition. We had a lot of laughs for sure.
Laclubar is a rural area high in the mountains of East Timor. It is difficult to reach. Most people live in the surrounding farming villages which often have no road only walking paths.
One of the things we find ourselves doing regularly is belaying pin maintenance. One way to reduce that work, at least for the pin rails, are the leather skirts we use. Hope the idea helps save you some time and effort also. Our ships cat was on hand to supervise.
