Medang Island is home to several thousand inhabitants. Plastic pollution is rife. To address this situation teachers and community leaders on the island initiated Medang 4 Change.

The pandemic has us locked down, but so many small communities depend on us, we are doing everything possible to ensure when this is over both we and Vega are ready to begin delivering educational and medical supplies again. When COVID-19 struck, Pulau Medang turned to the Historic Vessel Vega for help. Together with our FaceBook friends, we organized cash donations for personal protective equipment, infrared thermometers and other important materials. Thanks to a concerted community effort COVID-19 has not made it to the island. This film was produced by Pak Fadli on Pulau Medang.
