Vega 1892 computer education for remote schools

These laptops will make a huge difference for students in this rural school. Since the island only has power from 18 – 22 hours at night the laptops are perfect. Leave them plugged in and they charge overnight.

The necessity of a basic computer education is immense in this day and age. The lowest job to the highest job, the need for a computer is always there. As we become more technologically advanced, kids have started using computers and mobile phones since they start speaking. This is a luxury for many kids in the remote areas of Indonesia

We believe that education for all should not be a luxury, but a necessity. In the 21st century, computers, technology and everything related to it has become a way of teaching and learning. Why should the lesser privileged or the remote villages be deprived of them? Historic Vessel Vega has come up with Vega 1892 IT Equipment to the rescue, where we donate computers and the peripherals to schools in remote areas so that they have access to basic computer education.

Without knowledge of computers these kids would have a tough time finding jobs when they get older.

This year we were lucky enough to receive a donation of almost new laptops from the German European School Singapore. Those machines are now going a long way toward establishing computer labs for island schools. Thank you GESS for making these young student’s lives a little bit better. There are more success stories to come as our yearly deliveries progress.
