When COVID-19 struck, Pulau Medang turned to the Historic Vessel Vega for help. Together with our FaceBook friends, we organized cash donations for personal protective equipment, infrared thermometers and other important materials. Medical supplies and equipment for midwives and health workers is an important part of our work. Vega provides both health kits and annual resupply. Each kit is a complete package.

Laclubar is a rural area high in the mountains of East Timor. It is difficult to reach. Most people live in the surrounding farming villages which often have no road only walking paths.
The midwives of Atauro Island have very little to work with but thanks to our supporters they now have a years worth of supplies.
It takes a few days once we have all the elements on board to sort and prepare our midwife kits but it is well worth the effort.
